Public Garden | York

A community garden in the heart of York that took inspiration from the contrasting patterns of the city’s urban fabric—the interplay between its formal, straight roads and winding, organic snickets. The design aims to create a multi-sensory experience—a place for discovery, connection, and belonging. Visitors can explore a curated trail of sculptures and artworks, become immersed in nature, or engage in activities that foster human connection: from food growing and apple picking, to quiet reflection, splashing in fountains, picnicking with friends, observing wildlife, or attending an outdoor event.
